"To achieve a similar look for this quay side wall outer curve, I started with a base coat, ensuring all nooks and crannies were covered to avoid any untreated spots. After the base coat dried, I layered different shades of brown and grey, working in thin washes to create depth in the brickwork. I paid special attention to the weathering effects to give it a realistic appearance, indicative of being exposed to the coastal elements. Using dry brushing techniques, I was able to highlight the edges and textures of the wall. Finally, a subtle application of greenish tones simulated moss and lichen growth, giving it that lived-in look that blends well within a maritime setting." - Stuart
