This grouping of items is designed to aid you in creating the feel of a scrap yard or 'fly tipped' mess. My use of scrap items on my own layout is based loosely on the Bo'ness Railway where in the outside areas around the works sheds there are piles of all sorts of metal railway items awaiting a new future.

TIP. I decided to make my layout 'modern image' but based on a preservation society line. This way I can mix and match all sorts of rolling stock that would never have been seen together.
